LK's Tutoring Center is an after school program that gives student's more of that one on one attention they can not normally receive while at school. In the last year and a half we have gotten up to 16 students. It has been an amazing experience. We are growing so fast we are almost too big for our house which we have conformed into classrooms (minus our personal room of course). And thanks to the support of God and His children we have been blessed with books, shelves for them to go on, supplies and materials, sports equipment, and a roof over the front of our house so that we can have classes outside as well. We are praying for the funds to purchase land and start building our first building to open a school and continue with the center.
The tutoring center has opened up many doors for us to share our testimony and the gospel. We are constantly being asked what led us to open the center and why we do not try to make a profit. The tutoring center has really given families opportunities to spend more time with their children because their homework has already been done. Parents enjoy the extra time with their kids and we enjoy seeing grades go up with smiles on their faces. It's a win-win all around.
